I am sorry for not posting for a while but not sorry at the same time. You can have the sh*tty NEPA weather I am down south sitting on the west coast of Florida catching 10 pound plus channel cats near Clearwater. But I'll be back for the primary.
I may be away but I'm keeping tabs on some things.
The 10th race is quiet because everyone is busy getting petitions. My prediction is that Swiderski & Haire will pull out of this race before the 12th. Haire will be busy checking for his own cataracts thinking he can get the 1000 signatures needed to enter this contest and if he endorses anyone it will be Meuser. Swiderski probably won't get the required amount either based on a conversation I had with him earlier today. He says that tax season is keeping him from getting out there meeting people and that he's relying on a dozen volunteers to get the deal sealed. Someone get me the crash cards because this guy's campaign is flatline. Look I like the guy and support him but I am trying to be as "objective" as possible. He made an attempt at trying to do make a difference but it just wasn't his time. Given the constraints of tax season he had no chance to beat Meuser and Hackett with shoe leather. The good news is that if he doesn't get the signatures needed to get on the ballot Swiderski said he will spend his time doing what I think is worthwhile and that is rebuilding the party in Luzerne County. At least the guy didn't pull a Bill "the baby" Jones. Swiderski and me agree that the republican party needs to be rebuilt. With all the sh*t that's going on in the county we need a republican leader now than ever. Nobody's willing to step up to the plate so why not Swiderski? The people complain that there's no young people wanting to get involved in politics and the voters complain that there are no real leaders in the party on the local level. I dont know about you but I think Swiderski would better serve the party here on the local level rebuilding the party and with some help turning the GOP into a machine here in the county. hey this is a blog. Let's see what everyone else thinks.
On the presidential level Romni and McCain suck. Shame on the PAGOP for endorsing McCain. I guess flip flops are in fashion.

You're certainly right about the Republican Party in Luzerne County. The current party leadership is a joke at best.
