Dan Meuser, who are you kidding?

I am playing catchup with the newspaper and I read someone's editorial on Dan Meuser in the Times Leader. After reading it I thought about putting my finger down the back of my throat and throwing up my potato pancakes. Instead I pissed my pants laughing at each sentence especially this part:

"Dan Meuser has worked tirelessly on behalf of disabled Americans, striving to ensure that they will continue to receive the equipment necessary to retain the ability to be productive and contributing members of society. He has supported, and will continue to support, those who understand and advocate for these same issues." (Source: Kevin Reilly, Dallas, editorial in November 22, 2007's Times Leader).

First of all... uh... WHAT???? Pride's customers scooters are retailers. Most of the retailer's customers are welfare recipients and retired/disabled people living on social security. This is not the marking of a productive and contributing member of society. Who the f*uck is this Kevin Reilly kidding? I pray that the voters of the 10th CD are not stupid enough to fall for this line of bullsh*t. Then again, Carney was elected.

#2 So Meuser is a great guy because he supports politicians and candidates who promise to fund his supply chain? These politicians include Charlie Rangel (who in my opinion sounds like Elmer Fudd) Hillary Clinton and "Uncle" Paul Kanjorski. Their agenda are far from those that the voters of the 10th CD want. But according to Meuser it's OK to support these candidates so long they fund his supply chain no matter what other issues they want to bring forward. Can anyone say: special interest? Yeah, this is a guy I want in office. Anyone who doesn't see past Meuser's real intentions is a complete moron and deserves to have their pubic hair pulled one by one with tweezers by a dominatrix named Mistress Helga.

Like the infomercial... BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!

"Dan Meuser has also worked on behalf of the more than 1,000 local residents employed by Pride Mobility. These employees are well-paid, full-time workers with benefits. They are people who buy homes, raise families, purchase goods and services locally, and who contribute greatly to the area’s economic health." (Source: Kevin Reilly, Dallas, editorial in November 22, 2007's Times Leader)

How has Dan Meuser worked on behalf of the 1000+ employees? Moreover how has he worked on behalf of the 400+ who were laid off in the last 2 years? Are we to expect that in NEPA Pride really does pay well? What is considered to be good pay at Pride, $8.00/hour, or more? What is the pay scale at Pride compared to the average salary in NEPA? Does Dam Meuser really think sitting in his cushy office that the economy of NEPA is healthy? Until these questions are truthfully answered by someone this entire paragraph is complete and utter bias not represented by any facts.

Dan Meuser is not conservative with anything - not even the tanning booth and the teeth whitening. He's just trying to buy his way into Congress and the voters will probably let him.

I made it clear on my posts in other blogs that Meuser does not nor will he ever represent the values and beliefs of the tenth congressional district. Hell up until he decided to announce he never had a property in the district.

Here's the truth about Meuser: He is not a real conservative. He is not even a republican. He's a RINO. His values and beliefs represent those of a liberal democrat - you can't convince me otherwise. But he's going to win unless the county republicans decide to get their act together and promote other candidates more worthy of the position. Also the voters will buy into his bullsh*t.

I for one am not voting for Meuser and will continue to stand behind my reasons for not supporting him.

Sounds like David Maderia writing this .. The man who sold himself to the Hacket Campaign.. Better money there than working in his glorified massage parlor..

First thanks for your comment. I may come across as mean and am definitely angry about where the country's heading but I can be polite and courteous at times too.

I want to make a few clarifications: for one my name is not David Madiera. It is Eddy Turkiewicz. I do not work or volunteer for any of the candidates running in the 10th CD. Doing so would only indicate an unfair bias to a specific candidate.

I don't support Chris Hackett either. I do not and never will trust the guy. Like any other chamber exec he's all talk and no action. The WB chamber does nothing to help bring in the good paying jobs we desperately need here. The chamber doesn't do much for any business in the area. I guarantee you that if Hackett gets elected he will not benefit the area in any way.

Hackett and Meuser are a lot alike in many respects especially in the fact that they have done nothing to prove to the voter that they care about anything except the money that's in their own wallets. Neither deserves anybody's vote.

I agree Eddy. When is the last time Hacket or Meuser had/ to worry about affording to pay their bills or not being able to take their family out to a movie or dinner because the week to week paycheck just isn't cutting it anymore?
Neither one has any idea what it's like to be a citizen of the 10th district. They're just fat cats.
Swiderski should be the guy but he's way to quiet and didn't plant enough seeds in the beginning to really make a good run.
Let Hackett and Meuser live on a 30,000 a year salary for a few months and see how well they hold up. See how bad it sucks to not have opportunity to make more even if you're worth more.
Give em hell!!!!!

Timing is everything. You come out too early you gotta keep going strong and it's easy to run out of steam. You go in too late and you'll never get the support you need.

Like inexperienced politicians who are eager and desperate to make a move Hackett and Meuser came out early and are now building their war chests. It's all they can do - most voters won't pay any attention to the race until after the new year. They're put so much money into their campaigns that they pushed Ely and Scott out of contention (Scott knew he can't compete so he got out to save face). Swiderski will never come up with the money to compete for advertising dollars against Hackett and Meuser either, but campaigns aren't always won with money.

It's not too late for him to announce and get the support he needs to win. There's a 90 day rule in campaigns. He's going to need to announce by January 22 (90 days before the primary) or he's going to have to scrap the idea of running. It's to his benefit to announce ASAP so he can raise more money.

As much as it pains me to say it Swiderski is a marketing genius. He may be young but he's not an idiot. I know what he's capable of. I used to be a competitor of his.

I hope this is one of those campaigns where the self-financed sweethearts of the GOP lose big. We need to stop playing follow the leader and put some more independent thinkers in office.

Eddy, you are on the losing end of the battle. I can't stand Meuser, but he is going to run away with the GOP nomination because campaigns are all about who has the most money. Candidates like Swiderski don't have a fighting chance, even if they are better candidates than Meuser and Hackett put together. The reason why is quite simple: Swiderski doesn't have the money to beat Meuser. It's a shame that at the end of the day, the GOP nomination will be thrown away to someone who can't reflect the party's conservative values and that the race will come down to money. I can't believe that the GOP will stoop so low as to endorse any candidate who can finance himself no matter what the person believes in. It's as bad as Pat Robertson giving an endorsement for pro-choice Guliani.

anonymous 10:02 - sounds like you like this Swiderski guy enough to vote for him. If you're so concerned about the money aspect, why don't you contribute to his campaign? If you're really passionate about his running for office, then maybe you can help out someway by organizing a fundraiser or contacting the campaign to see where help is needed. That's how people generally show their support for a candidate. I show my support for a candidate in the same way and intend to do so with the Swiderski campaign. He's my accountant and has done a wonderful job helping me get my business to where it is supposed to be, which is more than what I can say about the last two accountants I hired for my company. He listens to my needs and gives me the full attention I need to run a business effectively. I know that he will do just as well for the people of northeastern PA when elected into Congress.

where is paul??? he is going to be fighting an uphill battle he should be out there if he wants my support. i don't like the other two, but paul makes an announcement and then hides.
if he is going to run a grass roots campaign he needs to get out there.

i saw first hand the leonardi guy you mentioned. do you know his story? do you know what he did to run and what he gave up? you should ask him it would blow your mind, he was out there every day. you asked where is he, well i am sure he is at his office, call him. i would like to know where paul is?

i was curious if you contacted dr joe. i called his office, his number is in the book. he said no one has called, but he saw your posting and was flattered.
i asked if he would be willing to talk to you he said he would be willing to talk to anyone

Robert

I'm glad to know that Joe Leonardi is willing to talk to me. i'm sure he did a lot and I heard from many people who supported him that he worked hard.

Swiderski knows what he needs to do too. Today he sent me an email he says he's settled in with his new baby and ready to pound pavement. You can see my other post on that topic.

It's now time to see if this guy really is a man of action or if he's too coward to run against 2 bigger fish.

eddy, what an uninformed moron. you sound like a disgruntled former employee. if you wanted to make more of yourself in life you should have gone after it like successful people like dan meuser.
